A formal course for sports management in India
The International Institute of Sports Management (IISM), Mumbai, is offering India’s first comprehensive courses in sports management. The first sessions — for an undergraduate and a postgraduate diploma course in sports management — are scheduled to start on August 16, 2010. The admission process is on.
The advisory board of the institute consists of experts like Ravi Shastri, former Indian team captain and commentator, Mahesh Bhupati, managing director, Globosport and Professor Ratnakar Shetty, chief administrative officer, BCCI.
IISM’s training methodology will blend the traditional academic education with innovative curriculum, vocational training, industry faculty, on-the-job training, career services and training tie-ups.
