DTU MTech interviews to be held on July 4,5
Delhi Technological University (DTU) has received 2,840 applications for its 17 MTech programmes with a total intake of 359 seats, which is approximately 40% higher than the applications received last year. The list of the shortlisted candidates has been put on the university website i.e. www.dce.edu. The university is not going to issue separate interview letters to the shortlisted candidates. The candidates are required to see the university website and report for test/interview on July 4 and 5 as per the schedule already announced.

Information related to essential qualification, certificates required at the time of interview, fee structure and other details are on the website. DTU are being made through online counselling. The candidates are required to submit their choices online through www.dtuadmissions.nic.in.

BITS Pilani Goa win India final of 2011 CIMA Global Business Challenge

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has declared BITS Pilani Goa Campus as the winner of the national round at the India finals of the 2011 CIMA Global Business Challenge held at the JW Marriot, Mumbai, on June 11.

The six teams that qualified for the national finals included NMIMS University, BITS Pilani — Goa Campus, Stella Maris College, Christ University, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce and IIT Delhi.

This year, more than 400 teams from all over India participated in the competition. The finalists went through a rigorous selection process, which include a case study report submission and a regional final before they made it to the India Final.

The winning team will represent India and compete with teams from countries such as the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, UAE, Bangladesh and Australia at the global final to be held on July 23 and 24.

ICoFP starts scholarship scheme for PG students
International College of Financial Planning (ICoFP) has started a scholarship scheme for 12 undergraduate students planning for postgraduate studies at ICoFP.

The institute will offer scholarships based on the students’ academic performance, performance at the interview and financial condition.

Fifty per cent of the course fees will be given as scholarship to a needy student if he/ she has scored 65% in graduation and above 75% in the ICoFP interview. Similarly, 75% of the course fee will be given as scholarship if a student is a rank holder or has scored atleast 70% in graduation followed by above 80% score in the interview.
