Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET) for admission into MBA and MCA courses in universities and state-affiliated colleges will be held on May 19.
Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) chairperson T Papi Reddy said 72,448 candidates have applied for the test. The highest number of students (30,000) will write the exam in Hyderabad.
Warangal’s Kakatiya University, which conducts the test on behalf of TSCHE, has made all the arrangements for the examination. As many as 127 exam centres have been set up in government institutions.
Authorities have decided to use biometric machines, which will collect the fingerprints of the candidates, in order to prevent impersonation. This is for the first time that the biometric system is being used in TSICET.
Papi Reddy said candidates coming late even by a minute will not be allowed to write the exam.
The preliminary key will be announced on May 21 and candidates can submit their objections to it by May 24.
