Set up in 1885, this University of Pune affiliate has a three-tier system, starting with the junior college for students who have completed school (Class 10), a senior college offering undergraduate courses, and facilities for masters’, MPhil and PhD degrees. Fergusson College is known for arts and science courses. It offers BA programmes in economics, English, French, Geography, German, Hindi, history, logic, Marathi, maths, philosophy, politics, psychology, Sanskrit, sociology, and statistics. It also runs BSc programmes in biotechnology, chemistry, computer science, electronic science, environment science, geology, maths, microbiology, physics, statistics, zoology plus BSc (physics) with vocational still photography and audio-visual production, BSc (electronic science) with vocational electronic equipment maintenance and BSc (botany/ zoology/ chemistry) with vocational biotechnology.

Started in 1932, the Nowrosjee Wadia College was first affiliated to the University of Bombay. It has been under the University of Pune since 1949 when the latter came up.
The college is known for arts and science courses. It provides BA programmes with specialisation in English, economics, history, politics, psychology, geography, and mathematics, BSc with specialisation in physics, chemistry, mathematics, zoology, geology, and electronic science, a BSc with specialisation in biotechnology and a BSc in computer science. It offers a BLib programme too.

Started in 1983, the college is under the management of Symbiosis Society and is affiliated to the University of Pune, a state university. Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Yashwantrao Mohite College of arts, science and commerce: Started in 1978 and was earlier affiliated to the University of Pune.
It is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. It conducts undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various disciplines leading to BA in English and economics, BSc in physics, chemistry, botany, zoology and microbiology, bachelor of library and information science, BSc (computer science), BCom, MA (English), MA (economics), MSc (chemistry), MSc (microbiology), MSc (computer science) and MCom degrees. Established in 1967, Maharashtra Education Society’s Garware College of Commerce runs BCom, BBA, and BBM programmes. It also offers a BCA programme.

Founded by the Deccan Education Society in 1943, Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce offers BCom, BBA and BBM - IB programmes.
In 2002, it received the Best College Award, under the Quality Improvement Programme, of the University of Pune. BMCC is recognised by the University of Pune as a Research Centre engaged in conducting MPhil and PhD in commerce.
The college has organised mock budget sessions of Parliament, and a mock WTO conference staged at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai, among other activities.
Like a number of other Pune colleges, it provides remedial classes for students. The University Grants Commission recognised it as a college with Potential for Excellence. As regards accreditation, in 2009, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded it an ‘A’ Grade for next five years.
Ness Wadia College

This is not named after a certain (relatively) young Mr Ness Wadia of Mumbai but a renowned industrialist and philanthropist (1873-1952). While its origin dates back to 1959 when the first pre-degree commerce class started in the neighbouring building of Nowrosjee Wadia College of Arts and Science, the commerce wing bloomed into a full-fledged institution in 1969 and was named after Sir Ness Wadia. The college conducts BCom, BBA, bachelor of business management (international business), BCA, MCom, postgraduate diplomas as well as PhD programmes.
It offers remedial classes for students as well as learn-and-earn opportunities.
Hostel accommodation is available on campus for both male and female students.

Under Shree Chanakya Education Society, Indira College of Commerce and Indira College of Science were started in 2001 and merged into one in 2007. Affiliated to the University of Pune, Indira College of Commerce and Science (ICCS) offers the BCom and bachelor's in business administration, BBM - international business, bachelor’s in computer application, as well as bachelor's and master's programmes in computer science.
ICCS has been accredited with a ‘B’ grade by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council.
