The Rajasthan Class 12 board examinations will begin on Thursday with the English language paper.
A total of 869,000 students will write the exam at 5,398 centres across the state, Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) chairman BL Chaudhary said on Wednesday.
The exam ends on March 25. It will almost concurrently run with the class 10 finals from March 9 to March 21.
“To avert eventualities such as paper leak or use of unfair means by students in eight districts identified as sensitive, the entire process will be videographed, from opening of the sealed packet containing the question paper to the time answer-scripts are submitted and sealed,” Chaudhary said.
The districts where such precautions will be taken are Jodhpur, Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu Nagaur, Dausa, and Karuli.
Arrangements have been made for security of question papers. “Over 4,500 police personal have been deployed at centres where question papers will be kept and answer-sheets will be collected to be transported back to the board,” Chaudhary said.
