The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has not finalised the date for the declaration of results of Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) exam 2016, officials said on Friday.

“The rumours regarding declaration of RRB NTPC exam results on July 10 are incorrect and we are still in the process of preparing the results as a large number of students had appeared in the exam,” Anil Kumar Saxena, Indian Railways’ spokesperson, told Hindustan Times.

Saxena said that the board is trying to expedite the process of preparation of results and efforts will be made to declare it at the earliest. He said that about 92 lakh aspirants applied for the exam and about 56 lakh appeared.

Sanjay Kumar Bansal, member secretary of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in Allahabad, also said that “no particular date” has been announced by the board for the declaration of the results.
