The CIMA Global Business Challenge (GBC) 2012, in its third year now, has received enrolment of 134 teams from the Indian Institutes of Technology, Bits Pilani and Banaras Hindu University, among others. The last date to register is December 10, 2011.
The participating teams are expected to analyse, report and present a CIMA case study.
The winners in the regional and national rounds will bag a host of exciting prizes and a chance to interact with the eminent jury comprising academicians and industry experts.
The winning team from India finals will compete in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with teams from 21 other countries such as Australia, Bangladesh, China, Ghana, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Malaysia, Middle East, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, UK, Veitnam and Zambia in the global finals in July 2012.
Bavadatta Mitra, assistant professor, Bits Pilani Goa Campus, said: “It’s a great experience for students. It also helps the students develop their lateral thinking skills and enriches their cultural experience as they get to meet a lot of different participants.”
The event is a platform for students to learn the importance of teamwork. Besides teamwork it also boosts their confidence and communication skills.
