Summer’s in, and your days are long, now that the exams are over. You’ve probably heard the importance of not wasting a single summer loafing around, but working towards a stronger CV – while we do understand that your minds are tired from all that studying, here are some lighter options for internships, which are more interest-based than work-intensive.
All Things Nice
Nikhil Agarwal, sommelier and director of All Things Nice, a company that works to promote gourmet food, wine and spirits, has crafted an internship programme for the first time. The company also holds trainings and tastings, and facilitates the entry of international brands into the Indian market.
The job profile would include marketing and sales, dealing with brands, hotels and restaurants. Learn about the distribution network and the workings of the gourmet food and beverage industry.
Duration: 2 months
Should have basic knowledge of gourmet food, wine and spirits, and an interest to learn the language and jargon used.

BlueFrog, a recording label, studio, restaurant and venue for live acts runs rotational programmes for photography and sound engineering interns.
Photography interns will attend all live events and take photographs for two weeks – once the two-week duration is over, they can keep coming back for future assignments as per convenience. This is rotational to create a constantly dynamic photo gallery.
Sound engineering interns will deal with the setting up of equipment for live acts, interact with artistes, and learn basic sound engineering from the venue’s head engineer.
