Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) programme will host a live Facebook chat to celebrate English Language Day on April 23. Any student willing to gain more knowledge about English language and the TOEFL test can participate in the live discussion at 14:00–16:00 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
“Observing English Language Day serves as an excellent starting point for students looking to take the TOEFL test in 2015,” said Jobert Abueva, senior director of marketing for the TOEFL programme.
This initiative is a part of TOEFL's larger campaign of helping students to study abroad through TOEFL programme. This is the second year that TOEFL programme is celebrating the day. All participants can get their queries about the usage of the language, vocabulary and grammar answered by English language experts. In addition, the experts can also guide students to prepare and register for the TOEFL test.
The United Nations has chosen April 23 to celebrate the English Language Day in honor of William Shakespeare’s birthday.
The TOEFL test is recognised by more than 9,000 institutions in more than 130 countries.
