PGDM (Communication)
MICA started its postgraduate diploma in management, (Communication), (PGDM), in the year 1994. According to well-placed sources in the institute, the programme has evolved into one of the most sought after courses, in the field of media and communications, in the country. Excellent placement of students with the best corporate houses in India and in recent times abroad, has lend an edge to the course.

The course trains students in brand management, account planning and management, market research, media management, public relations etc. MICA equips students to manage the entire integrated marketing process of a business.

Duration: The course is a two-year residential programme. Each academic year begins in July and ends in March of the following year. An academic year is divided into three terms of 12 weeks each. The summer vacation at the end of the first year is usually devoted to industry internship. Placement activities commence towards the end of the second academic year.

Orientation programme:
From 2006, MICA introduced a three-week pre-course orientation programme. The objectives were:
. To bring all students to a common minimum level of understanding and appreciation of the basics of social sciences, since they come from diverse academic backgrounds.
. To reduce the load of basic management education in the two-year programme allowing greater concentration on communications management
Students were advised to attend certain course modules of the orientation programme based on their performance in a diagnostic test.

The institute, from time to time, organises various executive and other programmes:
A) Executive diploma programme in media management (with Direcway Global Education); duration one year.
B) Executive diploma programme in data analytics (with Direcway Global Education); duration six months.
C) Professional programme in visual merchandising and creative communication; duration six months.
D) Certificate programme in managing integrated media; duration one year.
E) PG certificate programme in retail communication, crafting creative communication and visual merchandising.
F) Several MDP programmes and
G) Online programmes
