Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad on Sunday said the dream of BJP leader Narendra Modi to become the country’s Prime Minister would never become a reality as “the people will not forgive him for the sins he has committed.”
Addressing an election rally at Lakhavar high school ground in Ghosi block of Jehanabad district, Prasad said Modi would not be able to wash his sins even in Varanasi.
The RJD chief made a fervent appeal to people to vote against communal forces. “We will never allow Modi to occupy the chair of the Prime Minister,” he added.
“For once, please drop the issues relating to drains and lanes and press the button against the lantern symbol to save the country,” he urged voters while branding the RSS as the biggest threat to the country.
Fondly remembering the times when his family ruled Bihar, Prasad said, “During the RJD rule people used to get their work done even from DMs and SPs. But under the Nitish rule, even a police inspector refuses to listen to people’s woes,” he added.
Making a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar government, Prasad alleged that bureaucrats were running the government in Bihar. “Bringing Nitish into politics was the biggest mistake of my life,” he added.
He said the state government talked of making teachers’ appointment online, but the proposal had been sidelined and teachers were not being paid salary on time.
