Five mobile service operators - MTS, Reliance, DOCOMO, Vodafone and BSNL have given their consent to provide the free caller tune titled 'Samay Hai Chunne Ka, Sukh Sapno Ke Bunne Ka. Yeh Chunav Samay Hai - to their users, state's chief election officer Ashok Jain told reporters here.
The Facebook page will have all the updates and information related with the elections, Jain said.
Android based mobile phone users will have a choice to download a specially designed application 'Raj-Election' from Google play store.
It will not only enable the user to find one's details in voter's list but also help him/her to locate the polling booth in map and navigate to the booth, Jain said, adding that details of polling booths across the state will be available on it.
The new initiatives are aimed at achieving a voter turn out of 75% or above in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the election officer said.
All the district election officers in the state have been asked to introduce and keep updated Facebook page and 18 districts out of total 33 have already introduced the FB page, Jain added.
