An unidentified man slapped Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Friday during a roadshow in New Delhi's Dakshinpuri area. The man, who climbed on top of the AAP leader's car and slapped him, was caught by AAP supporters and was beaten up.
He has been taken into custody by the police after the incident.
"Let them attack us, we will not retaliate. Some people will do anything to become PM," said Kejriwal after the attack.

Kejriwal, who has time and again refused police security, was campaigning for AAP candidate Col (retd) Devendra Sherawat when he was slapped.
This is not the first time an AAP leader has been attacked in public.

In March, Kejriwal and other AAP leaders were victims of an ink attack in Varanasi where he has challenged the Bharatiya Janata party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections. An egg was also hurled at his car outside the famous Vishwanath temple on the same day.
Yogendra Yadav also came under a similar attack at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar when a man wearing an AAP cap had smeared ink on his face during an event to mark Women's Day.
"The fact that Arvind Kejriwal was attacked is a matter of serious concern," AAP spokesperson Atishi Marlena told CNN-IBN.
"It doesn't matter if Kejriwal had security or not. Intimidation can take various forms," she added.
