While most people disapprove of mixing work with pleasure, Aamir Khan seems to have a different opinion.
The actor has already decided to celebrate wife Kiran Rao’s birthday on November 7 in Japan, and will also attend the upcoming Tokyo Film Festival (October 23-31), where his last movie, Dhoom:3 (2013), will be screened.
Aamir, who has been shooting for his television show of late, has, in fact, asked for some time off from it as he wants to spend the occasion on a private holiday.
A source close to the actor reveals, “Aamir’s last release will be screened at the Tokyo Film Festival in October. Naturally, he has been invited to attend it, and Aamir has confirmed his presence. So in October Aamir, along with Kiran and their son Azad (he’s too young to be left back) will fly off to Japan.”
The source says that Aamir thought it would be a good idea to club his work visit with a vacation. The source adds, “Japan has always been on Kiran’s wish list. Last year, Aamir took her on a trip to explore north-east India. This year, once the festival ends, Aamir, Kiran and Azad will stay back and celebrate her birthday there. They’re expected to return a few days after that.”
The source says that, on his return, Aamir will resume shooting and will also get into the promotions for his upcoming December release. When contacted, Aamir’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
