It is believed that Aamir was very impressed with the band Indian Ocean and particularly Chakravarty while he worked with them for the music of Peepli [Live]. So much that the star is going to pay a tribute to the late artiste during the music launch of the film and have a live performance by the band at the launch, reported Mumbai Mirror.
The film has Indian Ocean (all members including Asheem) performing together in four of its songs. So, the credit will also have their names. Khan is also planning to release a video in memory of Asheem. The video will reportedly have the footage from Indian Ocean's last performance (with Asheem) in Singapore as well as the footage of Aamir's interaction with Asheem while recording music for the film Peepli [Live]. It also includes extensive footage of Asheem's interactions with the entire team of the film," a member of the crew told the Mumbai Mirror. Once the video is completed, it will be given to the band to put up on their site as well.
Chakravarty passed away last December after he suffered a cardiac arrest. "Asheem's loss was a shock to the entire team," Aamir Khan's official spokesperson told the Mumbai Mirror. These songs are the last he has sung. We wanted to immortalise his memory and hence the video."
The music launch will include live performances by actor Raghuveer Yadav who will be singing along with the Badvai Mandali, his group of village singers and a classical performance by playwright Habib Tanvir's daughter Nagin.
