Actually, Mela, a consumer entertainment service, announced its launch in New York City at the India Day Parade with the special guest Abhay.
Besides being the special guest and an active participant at a series of Mela events in New York, Abhay was also a part of the private screening of his hit movie, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. “Mela will provide a global distribution platform to get proper distribution due to shortcomings of traditional distribution through theatres, which can only screen a small, finite number of releases. Lack of easy access has not only resulted in frustration amongst fans, but has also created a booming global piracy business,” said Abhaay at the event.
