Zidd kar di aapne
Morning my choco chip cookies! What is happening with you guys?
My life’s pretty humdrum.. but there’s plenty of action in show town. So let us not waste any time on the weather woes since it’s sunny and chilly too.. and get straight to aaj ka taaza khabar.
Rapchik Rajni has just dropped by, claiming to call Shilpa Shetty’s bluff. Contrary to Shetty’s statement that buying a stake in the Rajasthan Royals IPL cricket team was beau Raj Kundra’s idea, Rajni insists that the truth is something else.
Seems it was La Shetty herself who made a very ziddi zidd to her dilwala last month. Apparently, it was her brainwave that Raj and she invest in Shane Warne’s team that lifted the trophy last year.
The fact that her steady date knew the owners well helped pave the way to a deal. And now they are co-owners of the men in blue. And that’s not all. An old pal of Raj called Rajni to say that Shilpa was a lucky gal to have such a devoted beau. Hmm!
The saheli added that now that his divorce has come through, the couple are seriously contemplating marriage by the end of this year.. buying a luxurious pad in Juhu was just the first step to a lifelong commitment.
Of course, Shilpa’s denying that the pheras will take place anytime soon.. but till then, rest assured that when they do tie the knot, you’ll read it here first.
It’s the time to disco
Okay, considering that their busy shooting schedules are keeping them far apart, when they are together, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone can’t bear to be parted. Over the weekend, the do premis were partying at Prive.
My birdy from Colaba tweeted that Sonam Kapoor was there too.. pub-hopping with Ranboo and Deeps. But when she went flying in to look for Sonam, she was gone. May be she went to bed early. Good girl, goodnight!
But Ranboo and Deeps were in no hurry. They left only when the shutters came down, in his white Land Rover. Ranboo dropping his lady home before turning into his own gates. Chivalrous guy!
Here’s Madhu my Mottu Maid with a tiddy bitty about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Now that is quite a big leap forward for Mots who usually pakaos me with unnecessary info on the chhota motta types.
Seems she will be singing a song in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.. Ash, not Mottu my dahlings. I’m told these days she spends most of her spare time doing riyaaz, in preparation for the recording.. though it is still a month or so away.
Hmm.. the last time she was credited for a song was over eight years ago for Apun bola with Shah Rukh Khan in Josh. But that track was more dialogue oriented. I’m waiting with bated breath to hear Ash croon.. soon! Sa re ga ma pa.. Are pati, pa and ma listening in too?
Chori chori chupke chupke
Oi oi.. what is this I’m hearing now? According to Mottu, cricketer Zaheer Khan is still going strong with apni Isha Sharvani. Seems talk of the two breaking up a couple of years ago was just an eyewash.
Mottu claims that the speedster is up close and personal with Isha whenever he’s in Mumbai. But on the rare occasions that they go out together, the couple exercises utmost discretion.. to ensure that their relationship remains a secret.
Kyun? Kyunki his parents were not too comfortable with the idea of their khiladi puttar seeing an actress. Mottu says she’s going to try convincing the senior Khans to accept Isha into their homes. Jab ladka-ladki raazi.. to kis liye naaraazi?
Dunno why my day has to end on a sad note.
Now here’s my trade khabru with the news that Vivek Mushran has been forced to abort his production plans.
The actor who debuted with Manisha Koirala in Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar eons ago.. moved to television when his movie career didn’t go great guns and cannons.
On the comeback trail to the big screen he was planning a movie with Husain Kuwajerwala.. another TV actor who wanted to cross over. But there are no takers for their phillum.
Now even the financiers have developed cold feet and dropped out.. making them feel like do bechare, bina sahare.. But then, such is life dearies.
