Ajay Devgn can’t stop gushing about the newfound love of his life. The actor, who became a proud daddy to son, Yug, a few days ago, is busy playing the role of a doting father. “He (Yug) is settling down,” Devgn smiles. “It’s just been a few days. He keeps sleeping… we all are very happy. Nysa (the actor’s seven-year-old daughter with wife, Kajol) is very excited about her brother.”
When asked how Kajol is doing, he simply says, “She is doing fine.” Devgn, who was in the Capital on Tuesday to promote his film,
, which revolves around the subject of honour killings, is glad to get back to the action genre. “I have done an action thriller after a long time. I though it would be difficult, but that was not the case,” he says.
As for the pressing issue of honour killing, he adds, “No one has right to take anyone’s life, No reason can be justified for it.”
Although known to reserve his opinion on most occasions, the actor spoke against the trend of item songs in almost every single Bollywood film. “Item songs are incorporated only due to public demand.
Jis din aap log dekhna bandh karoge, hum log banana bandh kar denge
(The day the public stops watching item songs, we (film-makers) will stop making them).”
