Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear the familiar female voice you usually do on Mumbai’s local railway platforms urging you to travel safely. Actor Akshay Kumar, as part of the promotional campaign for the fourth edition of Khatron Ke Khiladi, his show on Colors, has recorded safety instructions that will be played at all the Western, Central and Harbour line platforms and maybe, in a few local trains too.

The anchor, who returns with Khatron Ke Khiladi after a gap of one season, will greet passengers in local trains with announcements instructing them, for instance, to use the over-head bridge instead of crossing railway lines. The channel wanted to ensure that the show not only entertains people, but also helps users of public transport travel safely. Needless to say, the public safety announcement will be made in Hindi. Akshay will be heard saying: “Rail ki patri cross karke khatron se na khelein, pul ka istemaal karein (don’t play with danger by crossing the railway tracks, please use the bridge).”

Akshay KumarWhen asked, Ashvini Yardi, head of programming, Colors, confirms the news, "We believe Akshay’s voice will not only draw attention to the show, but also to how important travelling safe is. After all, khatra kabhi bata kar nahi aata... (danger never announces it’s arrival)."
