Priyanka Chopra, who made her presence felt internationally with her music album in 2012, is making news in New York, USA, once again; however this time, it’s for a cause.
The has been featured on a billboard at Times Square, New York, alongside actors like Antonio Banderas and Li Bingbing. The billboard has been put up as part of a campaign for climate change.
“It’s not something that can be ignored any longer... Climate change is happening and it is our duty to sit up and make the changes required. It’s exciting to have the campaign run at Times Square, and I hope it has a far reach. The protection of our environment is a cause that I strongly believe in, and I am proud to join so many world leaders and celebrated global personalities in this effort to enhance awareness and create change,” says Priyanka.
The actor has also shot for a video for the UN Climate Change Summit with other big names like Al Gore, Alison Sudol, Bindi Irwin, Ed Norton, Michael Bloomberg and Ian Somerhalder. “People from around the world have participated, and from India, the UN assistant secretary general, Robert Orr’s office had sent an invitation to Priyanka,” informs a source close to the actor.
