Her kitty boasts of acclaimed projects such as Mamma Mia!, Mean Girls, Red Riding Hood and Jennifer’s Body, but did you know that actor-singer Amanda Seyfried harboured dreams of only becoming a waitress?

“I did not have big dreams. I always had a realistic outlook on life and I never had expectations or high hopes,” says the 25-year-old, adding, “I thought I might just go to college and work as a waitress or be a Broadway singer at best, but I was never good enough and ended up getting into acting which was amazing.” The actor is thus taking her career as it is coming her way.

“It doesn’t feel like I’m in a constant rush to figure things out and to get things done. In terms of my career, I love the way it’s going,” she says.

“I’m at that point in my life where I want to keep going and keep moving. I enjoy meeting new people and I love seeing new things and travelling,” adds the actor, who is now trying her hand at action along with singer-turned-actor Justin Timberlake in sci-fi thriller, In Time that releases in India today.

Doing her own stunts in the movie thrilled her. “It was so demanding,” she says. Her character is continuously on the run with Timberlake in the flick and not many know that she had to do it all wearing sky high heels.“They were all at least five inches high. It was tough,” she says.
