Actress Ameesha Patel says she feelsbad for actor friend, Sanjay Dutt, whose conviction has been upheld in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, and hopes things can be reversed for him.

The Supreme Court recently upheld the conviction of Dutt under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and sentenced him to five-year imprisonment. Dutt has already served 18 months in jail and will have to serve remaining three years and six months. He has been given four weeks time to surrender.

"We feel bad for him... We share same sensibilities as everyone in the film industry. We wish it (judgement) could be reversed," Ameesha told reporters here last night at an event.

"I would not like to say much as invading someone's privacy is not right," she said.

Ameesha and Dutt have worked together in Chatur Singh Two Star and Yeh Hai Jalwa.

The actress also shares a close bond with Dutt's wife Manyata.
