When Sachin Tendulkar got out on 74 on Day Two of the second Test match between India and the West Indies, the crowd at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium was stunned into silence. Minutes later, the legend walked back to the pavilion to a standing ovation from fans gathered there. Though there were many celebrities at the stadium, including Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently out of the country and tracking the match, too was heartbroken after what could possibly be Sachin’s final innings.

The actor took to social media to talk about his feelings about it. His tweet went like this: “Out of country, getting updates on cricket via net .. just read Sachin out .. heart sank .. then rose on reading requests to declare (sic).”

The actor, who is currently in Dubai for some professional commitments, was also left amused with the average cricket fan’s “ingenious” thinking when it came to hoping for another chance to see Sachin play on his home ground. He posted, “I tell you the Indian mind is the most inventive in the world .. “declare and get Sachin to bat again” .. ingenious!! (sic).”
