Amitabh Bachchan joins hands with Modi

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan said he would be willing to be the brand ambassador of Gujarat and added that he would like to be a part of a documentary on the state.

AmitabhBollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday said he would be willing to be the brand ambassador of Gujarat and added that he would like to be a part of a documentary on the state.

"I would be happy to lend my face and voice for the cause of Gujarat," Bachchan told reporters here when asked if he would be brand ambassador for Gujarat like he already was for Uttar Pradesh.

The actor was here for a special screening of his film Paa for Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Bachchan was all praise for the development in Gujarat and said the state was a place worth visiting again and again.

"If the government planned a documentary to showcase the state, I would like to be a part of it," he said.

Amitabh also gifted Modi with a copy of Madhushala, a collection of poems written by his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Narendra Modi thanked Bachchan calling him a 'mahanayak' and welcomed his offer to promote Gujarat tourism.
