Amy Jackson, who made her debut with Prateik-starrer Ekk Deewana Tha (2012) narrowly escaped with some injuries after she was involved in a car accident in England on July 4.

The 21-year-old British model-turned-actor was driving through the city of Liverpool when her car collided with another vehicle. While she was taken to a local hospital for minor treatment, emergency services had to cut through the exterior of the car to rescue her co-passenger, an unidentified 45-year-old man.

A shaken Amy replied to a fan on her Twitter page: “I’m all fine thank you, my car isn’t though and the other driver is fine too thank god! (sic).” The accident left her car, a luxury SUV worth almost Rs 1 crore, completely damaged.

Amy, who happens to be Prateik’s ex-girlfriend, made her acting debut with the 2010 Tamil period-drama Madrasapattinam, in which she played the daughter of a British Governor in 1947 India. This year, she will be making her debut in Tollywood (Telugu film industry) with Yevadu. The ex-beauty queen will also be seen in Vikram’s (who she starred opposite in last year’s south hit, Thaandavam) Tamil romantic thriller, I.
