Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie says she longs to roam the streets of New York like the way she used to before gaining fame.
The Salt star, who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt, admits she occasionally pines for the anonymity she had when she started her career, reported Contactmusic.
"I do miss anonymity. I lived in New York in my early 20s and I used to just walk block after block. I loved it," said Jolie.
The 35-year-old actress and her family currently divide their time between Los Angeles, New Orleans, Cambodia and France and Jolie says she cherishes her time in Asia the most.
"In Cambodia we live very locally and ride elephants and hang out in the streams and be with local people who are our friends," said Jolie.Although the actress is close to her children, she admits she is aware of the negative effect her fame can have on their lives.
"They have more freedoms when we're not around. They do have an understanding of fame, it bothers them sometimes and it scares them sometimes," she said.
