Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt have finally put an end to one of the longest lasting feuds in the industry. And it is Anil who made the first move by approaching Dutt to do a special appearance in his second home production titled Shortcut.

In the past, Anil Kapoor has made some remarks about the Dutt family that did not go down well with them. Both parties then swore not to see each other’s face ever again. But now, they have decided to bury the hatchet. Anil convinced Sanju to do an item number titled Mareez-e-Mohabbat that also features Amrita Rao and himself.

He personally called Sanjay, who readily accepted his proposal and even came down from South Africa to Mumbai to shoot for the song. That’s not all — Dutt did not even charge a single penny for the song.

“Everything is sorted. We are extremely close now and there is no rivalry between us,” says Anil, adding, “There was a requirement for two male stars to feature along with Amrita in the video. Everyone felt that Sanjay would suit the role perfectly,” he added. It was then that Anil made the initiative and called Dutt.

“We spoke about how long it’s been since we worked together...the last time we did was in Musafir. When I called him, he said ‘I’ll come over’. Then I said ‘No, I’ll come over.’ But he insisted, ‘No, I’ll come over yaar!’ I had to force him into letting me come over to meet him. When I met him, it took him a second to agree to do this. It was great shooting with him after so long.”

Anil has also signed Sanjay for his next production titled No Problem and buzz is that the two would also work together in an international project.
