At 52, Anil Kapoor is fit as a fiddle, but he couldn’t stop himself from wondering whether his Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol co-star Tom Cruise had gone under the knife.

"I used to wonder, ‘how can a person be so perfect?’ In fact, sometimes I found myself trying to find faults in him. I looked at his face and thought kahin plastic surgery toh nahi karvayi hogi?’ (he must have got some plastic surgery done)" he says, jokingly. But of course, the Bollywood actor found nothing.

Even though Kapoor himself is considered one of the most talented actors in India, he feels the curiosity level about Tom is unmatched. "He is a huge name in India, but he is an equally magnetic personality in Hollywood, despite the insurgence of young stars. The kind of respect and curiosity he commands is insane," says Kapoor.

Tom CruiseAccording to him, Hollywood glitterati too wonder what Tom is up to. "People always want to know what Tom Cruise is going to do next. Be it his looks, professionalism, talent, behaviour or stardom, Tom — despite being the biggest star in the world — is very humble," says the actor, who plays Brij Nath in the new Mission Impossible franchise.

However, Kapoor doesn’t know whether the Top Gun actor is heading to India anytime soon.

“I have invited him a couple of times, including during last year’s Golden Globes event. When I met him during MI 4 shoot, I reminded him too. And he, quite surprisingly, remembered it. He is very fascinated by the country,” Kapoor says.
