Big Cinemas, part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (R-ADAG), has announced the opening of two four-screen multiplexes in north India, a company release said here Friday.

To be opened at Ansal Plaza Mall, Greater Noida and at Paras Downtown Mall in Zirakpur, the halls will have a total capacity of 928 and 1,010 seats, respectively.

"Both cinemas are the first multiplexes in their respective areas and are strategically located in the largest malls in their cities. These launches are in line with our plans to provide an international quality experience to rapidly growing catchment areas in the country," Tushar Dhingra, chief operating officer of BIG Cinemas, said in the statement.

Counting the eight, the movie hall chain has 198 screens spread over 78 properties nationwide, including 23 cinemas and 56 screens in 17 cities across north India.
