They are the newest BFFs in town. How else would you explain Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi’s unmistakable camaraderie? The actors have been bonding big time on the sets of Anand Kumar’s next, Zilla Ghaziabad.
They are also teaming up again in Sanjay’s next ambitious, Sher. And now, the Agneepath star, along with his Super Fight League (SFL) partner Raj Kundra, has roped Vivek in for the first celebrity episode of their show, SFL Challengers. This is India’s first action reality show based on mixed martial arts and kicks off on August 5.
“Sanjay treats Vivek like his brother and calls his wife, Priyanka, his little sister. He was very keen that he acted in Sher, since he felt that Vivek fit the role perfectly,” says an insider close to the Saathiya (2002) actor. Rumours are also rife that Sanjay may rope him in for one of his home productions too.
For SFL Challengers, Vivek immediately agreed when he found out that Sanjay was also keen to have him on the maiden episode. “He shot for the episode at the SFL Challengers bootcamp in Saki Naka (Andheri east) on Saturday. Although Sanjay wasn’t present, he was in the know about all the details,” says the insider.
When contacted, Raj confirmed the news, saying, “Vivek will be seen on the first elimination night of our show.” What’s interesting here is the effect that this new friendship will have on the bond Sanjay shares with close friend Salman Khan, who doesn’t get along with Vivek. “Both of them never speak about Salman. They have their own equation,” adds an insider close to Sanjay.
