Anna has all of Bollywood’s support. Activist Anna Hazare, 72, who is protesting against corruption at Jantar Mantar, has Bollywood’s who’s who standing up for him.

Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan has written a letter to the Prime Minister, asking him to pay heed to Hazare. “With great hope and all humility I request you to pay heed to the voice of Mr Anna Hazare. The nation is slowly but surely collecting behind Mr Hazare in appreciation for what he is fighting for,” wrote Aamir. He has also penned a letter to Hazare, saying, “Like the country has supported the Indian cricket team ... I hope and pray that your struggle, which is infinitely more important, will get an even greater support.”

Others took to voice their support on Twitter. “I agree with Aamir Khan: Anna Hazare deserves greater support than the cricket team. Please show your support for Hazare ji,” tweeted Indian cricket captain, MS Dhoni.

“Just read about Anna Hazare ... I pledge my support to this cause,” posted actor Priyanka Chopra.

Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar wrote, “I support Anna Hazare. Our country has suffered from corruption for too long... Now is the time we get together and do something about it.”

“Have decided to go to Jantar Mantar in support of Anna Hazare,” tweeted Anupam Kher.
