Looking to bump into a Bollywood celebrity? Heading to Spain seems to be a safe bet as the destination is a popular choice with the Hindi film industry’s young stars.
Buzz about the country’s sudden popularity amongst Bollywood stars grew when rumoured lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were clicked while vacationing in Ibiza. Though the duo chose to keep mum on the subject, speculation about their relationship refused to die down. The couple was not alone. They were accompanied by director Ayan Mukerji, who was taking a break post the success of his last release, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD).
The trio also attended a music concert that took place there. While the couple returned home and busied themselves with their professional lives, the director carried on with his extended vacation. Then, Ayan met up with Shraddha Kapoor and, along with a group of common friends, continued to live it up in Spain. A source close to Shraddha reveals, “Post the success of Aashiqui 2, she planned to visit Spain and their biggest music festival, Tomorrowland. The actor entered the Rs100 crore club with this film and that was reason enough to celebrate.”
The list doesn’t end here. Shahid Kapoor recently took a break to spend some quality time with his buddies after completing shooting schedules for two of his upcoming films, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero and Rambo Rajkumar. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar had also taken his family there for a small sojourn a few months ago.
Incidentally, Deepika Padukone too followed the crowd and is currently holidaying in the country. A source close to her reveals, “After three big releases this year, Race 2, YJHD and Chennai Express, the actor finally decided to spend some time with her parents and sister. She is currently enjoying family time in Spain.” And we can only wonder who is headed there next.
