Reports had surfaced last year, suggesting director Kabir Sadanand was upset with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for using the name Ugly for his film, that sounded similar to former’s upcoming, the Akshay Kumar production, Fugly.

Sadanand had, reportedly, also registered a complaint against Kashyap with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association. But Sadanand denies it all.

“I never had any issues with Anurag. It was all created by people. We both are from the same college and no such fight ever happened between us,” says Sadanand, who’s known for films such as Chameli (2003) and Good Boy, Bad Boy (2007).

“Our films have different names, belong to different genres and have different story lines as well. I wish Anurag all the luck for his film, and am sure he, too, wishes the same for me,” adds Sadanand.
