Arfi Lamba, who made his acting debut in the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire (2008), will now be seen in the Hollywood film, The Sky Project. The actor is quite kicked about working with singer Akon in that film and is also ecstatic that he will be sharing screen space with Lady Gaga.
An industry source reveals that the singer-songwriter is also part of the film and that Arfi would have screen time with her. “The announcements about most of the cast have been low-key and Lady Gaga is supposed to be a surprise element in the film,” says the source.
When contacted, the actor confirms the development, but remains tight-lipped about the project due to contractual compulsions. He says, “She has a guest appearance. It’s a small, but important role,” says Arfi, who was also seen in Ashish Shukla’s critically acclaimed film, Prague (2013).
Ask Arfi about his role in the film and he refrains from divulging much. He says, “It’s quite an extensive role. I am waiting for a final announcement by the makers.” The actor is supposed to start shooting for the film in a few weeks.
