After establishing himself as a force to reckon with in the action-masala genre, Rohit Shetty is now planning to expand his horizons.

The Bollywood director is now aiming at making regional movies. "I am planning to produce Marathi films. A few of my friends have some stories that I will look into. I don't mind directing the films but since my projects are costly affairs, I will have to look into the finances," says Rohit.

Meanwhile, he is also planning sequels to two of his successful films. "I am making Singham 2. I might also make a sequel to Chennai Express. When Singham (2011) had released, I had said that I wouldn’t make a sequel. Likewise, right now I can’t say anything about Chennai Express. Once I get the right story…then maybe (I will make a sequel)," says Rohit. ANUPAMA CHOPRA'S REVIEW: CHENNAI EXPRESS

The film-maker has earned a reputation for churning out back-to-back Rs. 100 crore movies. Ask him if there is additional pressure now to deliver a hit and he says, "Every film-maker wants his film to do good business. But if you tag a film with the business it does and call it a benchmark, then it does put pressure on the makers when they plan their next venture. So yes, the success has both good and bad sides. But I feel people work harder when there is such pressure."
