Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, who are co-founders of a leading production house, have plans to involve multiple music composers in creating the soundtracks of their upcoming films.
This is the first step they are taking to ensure variety in the music of their productions.
A source close to the production house reveals, "Earlier, the duo have mostly worked with composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. For their recent film, Fukrey, music director Ram Sampath had composed the songs. However, since Farhan is so closely connected with music, he now wants to try working with various music directors for the upcoming projects under his banner."
The source goes on to add, “Both Farhan and Ritesh feel that music forms an integral part of a film and the kind of music depends on the script and the mood of the scene. A good music album adds to the success of a film. And if there is more than one creative mind working on a project, there will be more diversity. They’re also going to make sure that the concerned composers know in advance that they aren’t the only ones working on the project. This will avoid any future problems.”
A spokesperson from the production house says, “Our films are known for their music and we would like to be versatile in the future as well.”
