Farhan Akhtar, who’s known for being multifaceted, seems to also be good at multitasking. We’ve heard that the all-rounder was on top of things on the sets of his sister Zoya Akhtar’s film Dil Dhadakne Do, keeping a check on every detail of the film-making process.

Farhan, who is producing the film, apart from writing the dialogue and acting in it, used to keep things in order, to ensure the smooth progression of the shoot. He did not want any delay. Time was of utmost importance for the crew since they were shooting on a cruise. “It was a month-long schedule. They were travelling from one port to another and were always running against time. Farhan made sure no time was wasted,” says a source.

The actor-filmmaker made it a routine to arrive on the set ahead of everyone else. “While Ritesh Sidhwani is a hands-on producer, and was also looking into all the details, Farhan ensured that all ends were met. He used to reach the set two hours early to make sure that the actors’ costumes were in place and production equipment was  functioning properly,” adds the source.

He also made sure the team did not get seasick. “He was concerned about the cast and crew getting nauseous, so he made sure they took necessary precautions. Farhan and Ritesh also kept an eye on the weather forecast as shooting on the deck when the sunlight was harsh was not possible,” the source says.

Confirming the news, the film’s spokesperson says, “While Ritesh was looking into all the production details, Farhan was always available for inputs and guidance. He used to report on the sets before his reporting time to make sure everything was in place. It was a hectic schedule, but everything went off smoothly.”
