The upcoming edition of domestic cricket league is around the corner, and actor-entrepreneur-producer, Shilpa Shetty Kundra is thrilled about it. “I am too excited about the upcoming IPL, and with Shane Watson as the captain, our team is the best,” says the co-owner of Rajasthan Royals.

However, the 38-year-old, who was last seen on the big screen in The Desire (2010), is happy playing a doting mother to her toddler, Viaan, and says that she’ll not be acting for at least a year. “I really don’t know when I will do a full-fledged acting assignment again. The fact is that I need to have the right script for me to say to yes. It may take six months...it may take a year,” she says. Having recently turned producer with her upcoming film Dishkiyaaoon, we asked her if she has any plans to turn director and she says, “I’d love to direct a film but I don’t think I have the temperament for it. I’m very hyper and I want things to be done ASAP. If I turn director, I might end up killing my actors (laughs).”
So, is her husband, Raj Kundra, the calmer one? “In tough situations, I’m calmer, else it is the other way round. He’s not as hyper. The best part about us is the fact that our friendship hasn’t changed over the years,” says Shilpa.
Shilpa on the ramp?
Our sources tell us that Shilpa will be walking the ramp for close friend, designer Tarun Tahiliani, who will open the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014, next Wednesday. The five-day event will be held between March 26-30 at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.
