Sunny Leone is determined to work hard, and starring with the three top Khans is on her priority list. In a candid chat during her recent visit to HT City, the actor revealed that she wants to work with Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman separately.
Sunny Leone will portray the role of Izna, a sultry seductress, in Jism
"Mujhe teeno chahiye ... And one by one. You don’t want to mix them together. I want all the attention from one and then the other. I want my one-on-one time with each one of them. If I get a chance, I’d love to work with them. It’s every girl’s dream to work with the big Khans after entering Bollywood," says the 33-year-old.
Leone has some newer stars on her wishlist, too.

"Ranveer Singh is quite good ... I may not necessarily have a list of people, but I want to work with people who want to work with me. Jo mere saath kaam karna chaahtey hain, main unke saath kaam karna chahti hun."
People in the film industry have generally been supportive. Have you faced any prejudices?
Of course, but those people don’t say it to my face. There are people who are either scared to work with me, or offer me roles that they think I am suitable for, and that’s fine. Mera past thoda different hai. It’s a life that I created and I can’t escape it. So, slowly I’ve to prove myself as an actor, entertainer or whatever I do. That takes time. Aisa nahi hai that one day I am Sunny Leone and then I am an A-lister. All the A-listers have worked very hard in their own way. Hopefully, one day I will be standing next to them.
You were stopped by a section of people from promoting your film in Indore.
I think everyone will understand this American term – haters (laughs)! Life mei aisa hota that you meet people who are gonna hate you, judge you and have problems with who you are. But you don’t have to change yourself because of them. If I listen to them and don’t be who I am, then they win. I don’t want that. I can only move forward, step by step. Someday, someone will tell them, ‘Arey aap pagal ho, she is a nice person’. I think it’s a shame that those people threaten violence on their own people and city because of me. What’s this line of thought? Those people should direct their energies towards, maybe, planting some trees, feeding the homeless... get angry about kids not having clothes. Don’t get angry about me. If you don’t want to watch my movie, don’t watch it.
What are the significant changes you had to make when you shifted to India, besides the lifestyle changes?
I had to adjust a lot. India is a different world.Industry mei sab bahut late hotey hain. Timing is something I had to adjust to. I reach the set on time, my team is on time, but we have to wait, because others are late. Then, 5-6 baje ka vada-pao session hota hai, that’s something I had to adjust to. And in the US, everything works on email. Here, they want to meet you and sit with you. But, business ethics are the same, everywhere.
How do you like India?
Main 100% desi hoon. I am from a Punjabi family. I never thought, I’d get so much love and appreciation, and of all the nations, in India —land of my ancestors. This is something dreams are made of.
