Actor Lisa Ray is all praise for her good friend and co-star from Deepa Mehta's film, Water (2005), John Abraham.
She says, "I remember when we were shooting for Water, John had shared his vision of producing films. The fact that he has now become a successful producer is really admirable. It is something that he has been working towards for more than a decade."
Lisa adds, "I feel there will be more story-centric films in days to come, if people like John are producing them. These won't require a huge cast and I can see him (John) specialising in it."
The 41-year-old actor is also happy about the fact that Bollywood has evolved over the years.

"The bigger shift in Bollywood is that now it has become more about the story. When I started out in Kasoor (2001), which had a great story, my dialogues were written on the sets and I didn't know what I was going to say from day to day. But now, the script is the star and that is why I want to be part of such movies," she says.
The actor, who is also a cancer survivor, has penned a book on her battle with the disease.

"To be honest, my manuscript is ready, but for me, it is very difficult to let go of it. My perspective keeps changing and Iam a little bit of a perfectionist. Let us see... I am hoping that by end of this year, my book will be out."
