Paresh Rawal might have won a Lok Sabha seat in the recent elections, but that hasn’t stopped the actor from his film commitments.
Rawal is all set to work in Salman Khan’s
next production, the Hindi remake of the Marathi hit, Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho. "The film is being directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, and the shooting will start soon," says the newly elected MP from the Ahmedabad East constituency.
Rawal will also be seen opposite Akshay Kumar
in a sequel to their 2012 hit film, OMG — Oh My God!. Ask him about his role and he says, "Dono ka role baraabar hona chahiye na
— Akshay aur mera
(Both Akshay and I should have roles that are equal in weightage)," says the actor, who believes that sequels make sense only if the follow-up story is good enough.
"They are enjoyable only if the script is good, varna khamakha ka part II banake maal batorne ka chakkar nahi karna hai
(Sequels shouldn’t be made just as a money-making exercise)," he says.
Apart from these projects, there are several others that Rawal is involved in. "I have just completed Sanjay Chhel’s film with Rishiji (Kapoor). Also, Gulzar saab is writing a film, which is in its final stages. I have signed three more films. As long as I keep getting good scripts, I will act. I won’t stop working in movies," he adds.
