Our Bollywood hunks and beauties leave no stone unturned to get under the skin of their on-screen characters, even if that means going bald for a film.

While for some stars, prosthetic make-up and special effects do the trick, many actually shave their head off to perfect their look.

With Priyanka Chopra being the latest to sport a bald look, we look at actors who’ve  earlier made news for taking the same route for their films.

Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra will be seen in a bald avatar for a sequence in her upcoming biopic on boxer Mary Kom. However, Priyanka hasn’t shaved off her hair.

She has used prosthetics to get the look. "Mary had done it [gone bald] in her life. This is an authentic scene in the film, so I wasn’t hesitant at all. In fact, I was very excited," the actor had said at the trailer launch.
Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor cut off all his hair for his upcoming film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

His first look in the movie created quite a buzz and many people, especially in the small towns of India, were spotted aping that look. The movie became a hit and the third-highest grossing movie that year.
Sanjay Dutt
It was to play villain Kancha Cheena in Karan Johar’s Agneepath remake in 2012 that Dutt went bald. To stay true to the role, the actor had to shave off his body hair, too, as Kancha had a disease that left him completely hairless.
