He has played a romantic (Saawariya, Bachna Aye Haseeno), an underdog (Rocket Singh Salesman of the Year), a deaf and mute guy (Barfi!), a politician (Raajneeti) and now Ranbir Kapoor is playing a car thief in Abhinav Kashayp's Besharam. What he has not played is a villain and the actor says he's dying to play one.

On a visit to HT House the actor confesses to a reporter: "I'm dying to play a villain. Maybe something like what Mr Shah Rukh Khan did in Darr. Villains ki life badi superb hoti hai (Villains have a superb life). They have good cars, all the pretty ladies aorund him. But I would like to play it in my own way."

Right now, the actor is having a ball promoting Besharam where he plays the character of Babli. The actor who's known for his method acting, interpreted the character in his own way. "Abhinav Kashyap gave me a lot of confidence. I used a lot of imagination to create Babli's character," says Ranbir.

The Kapoor boy is once again pairing up with a new face Pallavi Sharada after starring opposite newcomers like Sonam Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz, Shazahn Padamsee, Nargis Fakhri and Sarah Thompson. The actor feels there are many advantages of working with a fresh face.

"One thing good about working with the newcomers is that they have dates. Established actors are so busy. They are also hardworking, enthusiastic and they come with a new language (acting)."

The actor's Besharam is set to release on October 2. He will next be seen in Vikramjit Singh's Roy, Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet and his home production Jagga Jasoos.
