Ranbir Kapoor might not be a Bollywood Dabangg as yet, but he is definitely a Rockstar who has just turned Besharam. With Abhinav Kashyap's film hitting the theatres on a holiday, we wonder if the film has the right ingredients for a box office success.
Widest release so far: Abhinav Kashayp's second directorial venture after Dabangg would release in 3600 screens on October 2. The film beats the record of Chennai Express which had the biggest release ever for a Hindi film with 3500 screens in India and 700 plus screens abroad.
Holiday release: The fact that Besharam is releasing on a holiday (Gandhi Jayanti) will help the weekend collections. By now we all know that first weekend is crucial for the fate of a film.
Abhinav Kashayp's Dabangg form: There are numerous expectations from the director who broke many a record with his first film Dabangg.
Ranbir Kapoor on record breaking spree: Ranbir Kapoor is in top form with three consecutive hits - Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani, Barfi! and Rockstar.
Triple Kapoor treat: Ranbir Kapoor is working with his parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor for the first time in Besharam. Rishi and Neetu are playing corrupt cops in the film and it would be fun to see Ranbir Kapoor calling his dad Rishi Kapoor dharti pe bojh.
Lady luck: Ranbir Kapoor has been lucky with newcomers in the past. He gave hits like Raajneeti, Rocket Singh, Rockstar and Barfi! with the new faces. With Pallavi Sharda, the actor is hoping to re-create the history.
The masala factor: Last but not the least, it's a fair bet at the box office as it's a romantic comedy with a decent dance number and some foot tapping music.
