Rani Mukerji, who is playing a crime branch officer is her next film Mardaani
, will soon be seen in the company of real-life cops in a video.
The actor will be singing the National Anthem along with female police personnel in it. The video will be played before the start of Salman Khan’s film, Kick
, in Mumbai theatres starting Friday.
"Rani was joined by cops across ranks — from top officials to constables. The video will feature Rani in plain clothes, but the police personnel will be seen in their uniforms," says the source.
The video has been shot by Pradeep Sarkar, the director of her upcoming film. Rani remained unavailable for comment. However, Sarkar confirms the development, saying, "Shooting for the video was an exhilarating experience. The Anthem itself gives one goosebumps... and on top of that, when these women sing it all together, it makes one proud."
