2002 hit-and-run case: Not sure if Salman Khan was drunk, bar manager tells court

Two witnesses in the Salman Khan hit-and-run case of 2002 deposed on Monday. Nine witnesses have recorded their statements so far in the fresh trial that began in December 2013.

Ramashray Pandey, one of the prosecution witnesses, said, “I heard a loud sound at around 2:45 am which woke me up and I could hear people screaming. People were running from A-One bakery to American express laundry. When I reached near American express laundry, I saw a white car was rammed inside the shutter of American express.”

“I saw Salman coming out from the right side (driver’s side) of the car, another police personnel was also present there whose name was Patil,” he added.

Another witness, Rizwan, manager of Rain Bar, said, “The group which Salman was a part of, had ordered cocktails and snacks. The group was standing at the service counter.” Rizwan said that he is not sure about the kind of drink Salman was consuming.
