Done to death is the only thing that comes to mind when one watches Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in their latest song Humse Pyar Kar Le Tu from their upcoming film Teri Meri Kahaani.

The song features the duo romancing in a pre-independence Lahore setup. In the song, Shahid plays the flamboyant Javed, who is seen dancing and flirting around in a pathan suit, much in the Nagada style. Priyanka plays Rukhsar, the typical coy girl at first who eventually decides to set Javed right.

Interestingly, not only does the song remind one of Salman Khan's famous song Humka Peeni Hai from Dabangg but even the signature step of kurta-lifting is a very 'Salman-ish' one. The song has certainly not been choreographed to tap Shahid's dancing potential.

The song has been sung by Mika Singh and Shreya Ghoshal and the film's music has been composed by musical duo Sajid Wajid, who were incidentally also behind Dabangg's soundtracks.

Verdict: The song is fairly average and sounds a little too familiar. Watch it if you have nothing else to do.

The film has been directed by Kunal Kohli and will see the Kaminey stars, also rumoured to be ex-flames, reunite oncreen. It is set between 1910, 1960, and 2012, wherein the two stars will be seen in three different avatars in each time period.

Teri Meri Kahaani is expected to release on June 22.
