It’s like I am married to a friend, says filmmaker Anurag Kashyap on being asked as to what is the best part of being married to actor Kalki Koechlin. “She keeps introducing me to new things, I listen to different music and my friends’ circle has increased,” he adds. Anurag and Kalki were in Delhi to promote their film Shaitan.

Talking about his about his newly-wedded wife, Kashyap says, “Kalki is the bread earner and I take care of the house. We are made for each other. Both of us are not very social but we party a lot.”

And what does he do to keep her happy? “I cook and even give her a foot massage,” says the ace director. Talking about his future projects with Kalki, Kashyap says, “Very soon I’ll be coming up with a romantic comedy with her because she has refused to do a movie with me which is not romantic.” And what about their honeymoon plans? “It will happen very soon in August,” says Kashyap.

KalkiTalking about Shaitan, the director says, "I feel jealous of Bejoy for making such an amazing movie." However, he denies any involvement of Bejoy’s personal money in the movie, saying, "If Bejoy had the money he wouldn’t have spent two years looking for a producer. And why would Viacom 18 give its name to a project, which it is not funding?"

He gives me foot massages, he is my pillow, my punching bag, what else I want in life. I am extremely happy and satisfied, says actor Kalki Koechlin about her newly-wedded husband, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, whom she fondly calls, ‘AK’.

Talking about the best and worst part of being married to Anurag, the actor says, “Best is men now leave me alone but worst is, well, I can no more make AK jealous.” The actor, who gives her husband all the credit for making her Hindi better, also seems to be wooing him through his stomach. “I make adrak wali chai and even bake exotic food for him,” says Kalki.

So, how was it being the producer’s wife on the sets of Shaitan? “It was no different. In fact AK did not turn up on the sets even once while the movie was being shot. Also I knew my co-actors Neel and Gulshan since my theatre days so there was no discrimination. We chilled and had fun,” says Kalki.

Anurag the director or Anurag the husband? “Anurag the husband. He is a bit old-fashioned but he is very caring. As a director AK is very objective and he gets extremely lost in his projects,” says Kalki.

KalkiAnd finally, where are they planning their honeymoon? "May be somewhere in the mountains because I love trekking (laughs)."
