Chiranjeevi has clarified that the cash that was found at his daughter Sushmita’s Chennai residence did not belong to his family but some distant relatives of his son-in-law. “It is very much clear. The other party, they are the distant relatives of my son-in-law.

So, directly we don’t have any connection with that. They themselves confessed that everything belonged to those people, who are distant relatives of my son-in-law,” said Chiranjeevi.

“So, our family, my son-in-law, don’t have any other connection with that. They (have) already accepted. I think you can get information from the IT of Chennai,” he added.

Reports had stated that cartons stuffed with Rs 35 crore in cash were found at Sushmita’s Chennai home. Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law, Vishnu Prasad, had come under the income tax net with IT sleuths conducting raids on his business and residential premises in the city for close to two days.
