Model Cindy Crawford has advised women to stop buying magazines featuring stick thin models because she believes they have the ‘power’ to change the body image stereotypes that are being sold out to them.
The 43-year-old former supermodel feels she wouldn’t have made it big in the world of glamour these days because she had too “normal” a body to succeed in today’s size zero obsessed fashion industry. “We as the consumers, we as the women, have the power. If you don’t like something, don’t buy it. Don’t buy the magazine if you don’t like what it says,” the Daily Express quoted Crawford, as saying.
